Oooo! While I think it's too early for snow, I'm also glad to see it because it means lots and lots of chances to go out in it! I love to go cross-country skiing and when I saw your photos of the outside, that's the 1st thing I wanted to do -- strap on my skies and get out there!

Wonderful, magical photos! The joy in all of you was so clear. There is something very special about that first snowfall of the season, and your post captured that perfectly. We are in Finland, but this winter's snow hasn't arrived yet. It will be lovely when it does - it's only the subsequent 4 or 5 freezing months of it that make it less exciting...

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! I needed that sight today! I used to go outside barefoot in the snow, too! My husband thought that I was nuts and that I was sure to get frostbite. NAH! That snow looks absolutely delicious! Perfect for eating, jumping, and snowballs! You all look like you're having so much fun. It dropped down to about 38* here last night, but no snow in sight. Oh, I'm so ready for snow!! I haven't seen it in about four years, but now we've moved back east from California, and I'm DYING for it!! My little boys have never seen snow, but they will this year!! Hooray!!! :D
